This is a large original oil on canvas by the listed artist, Nanci
Blair Closson. Most interesting is the artist has turned the
simplest of subjects into a beautiful work of art. She has
created this unique style by combining techniques of Photo Realism
and Western Pop Art, similar to that of Bill Schenck. This
painting is part of a series of southwestern subjects completed by
the artist during the 1980's incorporating this same style.
See our gallery for another painting by this artist from this
series.
Patio Azul Tlaquepaque is a scene from Sedona, Arizona with Schnebly
Rock in the background. It is completed in desert earthtones
of tan, green and gray. Another fine example of this artist's
work from this period.
